New Rose Room!

We would like to thank all of our parents for being so patient during our time of transition! Moving Purple and Rose rooms was quite chaotic for everyone, but our families were awesome and went with the flow during such a hectic period! We are so happy with our move and the good things to come in our new Rose Room!

One of the kids favorite books is "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom." They love it when Teacher Brooke or Teacher Adela read it to them! It is a great book because it helps the kids with their ABCs. We made our very own "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" with "sand" (moon sand) that we mixed together, a palm tree made out of construction paper, and magnet letters. The kids had a blast playing with it when it was all finished. We even had a real coconut that the kids got to taste! Yum!

Our kids have been working on fine motor skill activities! It is great to get the kids practicing working with their hands (tying their shoes, cutting with scissors, zipping up their lunch boxes, jackets, etc.)

We had a Valentine's day party with the kids. We had some fruit (pineapple, strawberries, grapes, and cantaloupe). We also had tostadas that Teacher Adela and her mom made for the kids! A big thank you to them for sharing a special recipe with us! The kids absolutely loved the tostadas! :)

Thank you for sharing your beautiful kids with us each day!

Bubble Fun!!!

January was a very busy month for the Rose Room! A big chunk of the month was focused on bubbles. The kids have been showing a lot of interest in blowing bubbles and asking teachers to blow bubbles so they can run and pop them in the air. The kids loved singing our bubble song and had a blast making our own homemade bubbles! We tried different colors and scents. We also had so much fun wrapping our feet in bubble wrap, stepping in paint, and walking around on white paper to see the cool colors and shapes the bubble wrap made!

The Rose Room kids love running around outside and kicking balls! We brought in a kid-sized basketball hoop and let the kids shoot baskets and practice dribbling the balls. It was so fun to watch the kids get so excited when they made a basket, or just got their ball close to the hoop :)

The kids absolutely love cooking activities, so we try to incorporate them into our schedule as much as possible. The kids are excellent helpers and can mix in ingredients quite expertly. We made a veggie pizza this time and the kids couldn't wait until it was all done baking so they could eat it all up!
