Jello fun, Cars!!

Our kids in Rose Room enjoy baking and cooking projects! We made Jello this time and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight, and ate the yummy Jello the next day! It was fun for the kids to practice stirring the Jello mixture and water together and practicing not going too fast and spilling the mixture out of the bowl! The kids did a great job and enjoyed the delicious treat :)

Rose Room has been very interested in transportation lately! The kids can't get enough of Lightning McQueen :) We decided to go along with this theme and have been doing lots of cool transportation activities lately! Since the weather has been so beautiful the last couple of weeks, we have been bringing activities outside! We brought out our basket full of cars, some shaving cream, and a piece of long butcher paper and let the kids have a blast!

Another fun project that we did with the kids was letting them make their very own paper plate car! The kids first put glue onto the paper plate, added some tissue paper, and then put two black wheels onto their car! The kids really took their time gluing pieces onto their paper plate car and they all turned out so cute!

Tacos, Ocean/Rainbow Fish!

We had a taco party in Rose Room, where the kids got to make their very own tacos! We started off the morning by reading the book "Dragons love tacos." It was such a fun and silly book the kids loved it. Then we warmed up our tortillas, added some beans, tomatoes, and cheese and rolled it all up! The kids loved the tacos some even asked for seconds :)

We have been talking about and doing lots of fun activities about the ocean and sea animals. We first painted with blue and white paint and blue glitter to make it look like ocean colors. We also sprinkled white sand over the paint to look like the ocean sand. Kids were very excited about their artwork and look at it on the wall every day!

We have been reading and looking through the book "The Rainbow Fish." Such a fun book for the kids to read and see all the beautiful colors, so we decided to make our very own rainbow fish! We made them on old CD's. The kids glued colorful sequins, glitter, and the fish's fins onto it. They turned out so beautifully!
