Farm Animals/ Jersey Day

The kids have been very interested in farm animals lately. The farm animal basket is a huge hit for the kids and they have been picking that basket out first before anything else. One of our must sing songs at circle time is "Old McDonald had a farm." We read a book about milking cows and how to get milk from the cows' udder. We thought it would be fun to let the kids see what it is like to milk a cow.

"Mouse Paint" is a book that is very popular with the kids in our room. It's a good way to practice our colors and learn what colors the paint makes when we mix them together. We did an art activity with colors red, yellow, and blue. We mixed them together and the kids thought it was so neat to see the different colors they made.


















This month we also had a jersey day for the children, they loved it. Each child got to wear their favorite sports team jersey/shirt. They were so happy to talk about their favorite sports team and show their friends their shirts.

Spirit week, Holi!

This year, we thought it would be fun to partner up with the two preschool rooms and join them in a spirit week! We had a different theme each day for the kids and teachers to dress up and come to school in fun outfits! The kids had a blast coming to school and seeing the neat outfits and crazy hairstyles their friends were wearing! Thank you to our parents for helping your child dress up and celebrate spirit week to the fullest! They all looked so cute :)

Celebrating Holi was a lot of fun for the kids! Holi is the celebration of colors, and it's a festival celebrated during spring time. Not only did the kids have a blast coloring each others faces and throwing the powder onto our white paper to see the cool colors, it also tied into our theme for the month which is "colors". We had a variety of different colors which made it fun for the kids to practice reviewing their colors.
